START TODAY // 21 DAY FIX

This is one of those quotes that I have saved on one of my Pinterest boards that I go back to frequently when I want to set a new goal for myself. But here lately I have been falling short of reaching my goals. I guess you could say this habit started when I became a mom and it's something that I need to change.

After Jax was born Gary and I made the decision that I would be a stay at home mom. It has been something that I've always wanted to do since I became a mommy four years ago so I was extremely excited/happy when the decision was finally made! I love staying home with my little ones but I won't lie, it is a lot of work! It is non stop all day and most days are ended with zero time spent for myself.

It's been three months since I have become a stay at home mommy and I feel like I'm slowly losing myself. Don't get me wrong, I love my little ones so much & I love being home with them but I need to start taking care of myself too.  We are only given one body and I want to take care of mine for me AND my family. A happier and healthier me means a happy and healthier family!

So this is where this post is going. A couple of days ago I bought  21 Day Fix through Beach Body. A friend of mine started it last year (while I was pregnant) and I kept telling myself "I am going to do this once I have Jax". Now that he is here, it is finally time to get started. The program just seems so perfect for a busy, stay at home mom like me. Here is why:

WHY 21 DAY FIX IS PERFECT FOR ME

001. MOMMY FRIENDLY // Finding a sitter and spending an hour or two at the gym is just impossible for me right now. The 21 Day Fix comes with DVDs that are 30 minute work outs that you can do at home. Only 30 minutes! I can work out first thing in the morning while Sophia is at preschool & Jax is in his swing and then continue on with my busy day.

002. NO COUNTING CALORIES + NO STARVING // 21 Day Fix does not require you to count calories or basically not eat all day. It's the complete opposite. You get to eat, just in the right portion. 21 Day Fix comes with colored containers for a different kind of food and pre-measured for the precise proportion. If it fits, you can eat it! This is especially important for me. I am breastfeeding Jax so I can't go on a diet where I am not eating. I need all the food I can get and I can always adjust my food intake to keep my supply going.

003. SUPPORT FROM YOUR BEACH BODY COACH + TEAM // The 21 Day Fix Challenge Pack allows you to sign up under a coach. This coach has a team of other people who are also completing the 21 Day Fix. It's nice because you have a group of people all working towards the same goal motivating and encouraging each other. I haven't even started the 21 Day Fix yet and have enjoyed being a part of a team. And my coach Kelsey is so helpful!

And speaking of coaching. I have decided to join Beach Body as a Coach!!! Kelsey explained the coach opportunity to me and I knew it was something that I would enjoy doing! I get to work out, help others, AND get paid all while staying home with my babies. Sounds pretty perfect for me!

So today I am making a change and WILL break my habit of not going through with my goals! Here is to a happy and healthier to me!

If 21 Day Fix is something that you want to know more about or even want to join please let me know! You can comment me here, email me (josephine.a.king@gmail.com) or find me on Facebook! Also, February 9th will be my official start of 21 Day Fix and I will be joining a challenge group while I complete my first 21 Days! WHO WANTS IN?!

CURRENTLY | WEEK ONE

Happy Friday everyone! Hope everyone had a good week! It's crazy how fast the weeks go now that I am staying home. When I worked it just seemed like the week went by so slow & I was always wishing time away. I would constantly say, "I wish Friday would hurry up and get here" just so it could be the weekend. I am so happy that I can just enjoy my time now and not wish any of it away.

Anyway, today I am starting a new weekly post where I will share a list of five random thoughts or how I am currently feeling. I am hoping this is something I can keep up with all year. Today I am currently ...

001 L O V I N G // I am currently loving all of the smiles I have been getting from Jax lately. When he was a newborn he would smile but I'm almost positive they were from gas. Now he smiles anytime he hears me talk or sees me. I just love it.

002 T H A N K F U L // This morning I woke up thinking it was just another day. I went downstairs, drank a cup of coffee while Jax laid on his play mat. I got on my phone and saw that I had a notification from TimeHop. I usually don't look at my TimeHop right away but decided to today. I opened it up & saw that there was a post I had made every year for the last six years. All of them said Happy Anniversary to Gary! TODAY IS MINE AND GARY'S SIX YEAR ANNIVERSARY! If it wasn't for TimeHop I probably wouldn't even have noticed. I've just been so busy with Jax & honestly don't even know what the date is half of the time. So today I am thankful for TimeHop for reminding me that today is our anniversary. We have nothing planed (obvisouly) but maybe we'll go to dinner? Here is a picture that was on my TimeHop this morning of us. Crazy to think it was taken 5+ years ago.

003 W I S H I N G // I follow a lot of small business shops on Instagram. Especially ones who have products for babies & children. I also enter a lot of giveaways that these shops have & luckily I have won a lot of them. As soon as I get the item I've won I put them on Sophia & Jax and then spend the rest of the time wishing I had more money to buy more from these shops. How cute is this top on Sophia?

004 T H I N K I N G  A B O U T // Now that it's been two (almost three) months since I've had Jax, I think it's time to start getting back into shape. I've already lost most of my pregnancy weight but I still need to tone up. I am wanting something that has a meal plan & work outs from home. I also want to work with a group of people. I do better when there is accountability involved. I have a friend who does Shakeology & 21 Day Fix and loves it. I was thinking about starting this. Have you tried this? If so, did you like it?

005 W I S H I N G // And I am currently wishing I had my camera charger. I went to buy a new one but no one in this area sold it. I bought a universal camera battery charger but I haven't figured out how to use it. So I find one to buy or figure out this universal one, there will only be pictures taken from my phone.

HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND EVERYONE!

A GRATEFUL HEART | WEEK THREE

Happy first Monday of the year! It's been a couple of weeks since I've updated. I didn't realize how busy I would get during the holidays! Now that they are over I plan on not taking anymore breaks for a while & hopefully getting into a routine of blogging. I am linking up with Emily at Ember Grey to share what I am grateful for.

Today I am grateful to be a stay at home mom. I'm even more grateful for Gary who works hard so I can stay at home all day with my babies. This morning I woke up, got to spend time with Sophia before she went to preschool. I ate breakfast and drank coffee as slow as I wanted while listening to country music. I gave Jax a morning bath and we laid on the bed & just smiled and stared at each other. I would've missed all this if I was working.

I love all these moments with my children & I get to experience them everyday. Not just in the evenings or on the weekends. Everyday. Our income has decreased, but that's ok. We'll find a way to make it. We always do.

What are you grateful for? Head on over to Emily's blog by clicking the image below & join!
