HALLOWEEN 2015

This Halloween was so much fun with two little ones! My beautiful goddess and handsome gladiator had a great time trick or treating too! Gary had to work so it was just me and the littles but we went trick or treating in our neighborhood and ended up with a TON of candy! I didn't get many pictures of Sophia going door to door because I was carrying Jax but I did sneak in some pictures during our little trick or treating break. Sophia begged to take a Frozen gift bag as her candy bag and in the end it worked out because of all the candy we got! The whole bag was almost filled up!

When we were all done trick or treating I asked Sophia if she had fun and she said "Yes, but next year will be even more fun because Jax will be walking and we can hold hands trick or treating!" My sweet Sophia. I wanted to cry when she said that! I can't wait until next year to see them trick or treating together.

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween & Trick or Treat too!

SOPHIA + JAX'S BIRTHDAY PARTY

Ah! I'm finally getting on here and posting some pictures from Sophia + Jax's tribal themed birthday party a couple of weeks ago! We celebrated on Jax's actual birthday (October 24th) at our house. My plan was to have the party outside with a bonfire. The entire week before the party the weather looked amazing... then it decided to rain the entire day. So the party was moved inside and on our back porch. It was kind of hectic but everyone still had a lot of fun!

My friend Megan did such an amazing job with the food and decorations. I didn't want to take any of it down after the party and honestly kept it up for a couple of days! Because it was inside and on the back porch the lighting wasn't the greatest but Megan's sister was so nice and took pictures for me so I could enjoy the party! There were 300+ pictures taken at the party but these are my favorites!Miss Sophia was so busy playing with her friends that she wouldn't even stop for a picture so that's why there seems to be more of Jax. I'm sure he'll be the same way in a couple of years!

I'm so happy that everyone had fun and can not believe I have a FIVE and ONE year old now! I am so thankful to have such healthy beautiful babies AND for everyone who came and celebrated with us!

Here's a photo dump of my favorite pictures:

OUR WEEKEND + A GRATEFUL HEART

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a good weekend! Ours was good and relaxing like almost all our weekends are. The weather was pretty cold and rainy at the beginning but it was beautiful yesterday!

We went costume shopping yesterday. Our plan was to only buy costumes for the kids but Gary and I ended up finding costumes that we liked! We are all dressing a like! I'm SO excited! I'm going to keep it a secret until Halloween!

After we got home from costume shopping we headed to our old house (that my mom still owns) to see if there were any apples on the trees. There were just a few but it ended up the perfect spot to take some pictures of the kids. So I took A LOT!

We also did eat some delicious banana bread, taco soup and chili that my mom made this weekend. It's nice living next door to them because we got a lot of delicious meals!

Now to another busy week! I still have birthday party planning to do + Sophia has a field trip tomorrow to a local pumpkin patch!

Today I'm grateful for relaxing weekends at home, this beautiful weather and delicious meals that my mom cooks for all of us. Linking up to Emily's A Grateful Heart linkup. What are you grateful for?

And now for all of the pictures I took yesterday at our old home.

OCTOBER GOALS

How is it already October?! I swear it felt like I was just making September goals! I'm not complaining though because October is my absolute favorite month! It never used to be but it's both Sophia and Jax's birthday month so its now my favorite!

This morning I looked back at my September goals and feel like I only completed half of them. I guess that's better than nothing right? Here are my September goals. The ones crossed off are the one's I did complete.

// SEPTEMBER GOALS FOR THE BLOG
++ Post 5-6 times a week - i tried but got too busy with the kids and getting everything ready for Gary's family. I need to start planning posts ahead instead of posting same day.
++ Post more about my fitness journey - didn't even make one post :( i maybe worked out 5 times the whole month so there wasn't anything to post about.
++ Post more on Twitter & Facebook page - i posted a few times but not as much as i wanted.
++ Participate in at least one giveaway - i didn't just participate in one giveaway but TWO!

// SEPTEMBER GOALS FOR ME + THE FAMILY
++ Plan for my babies' birthday party - i've been pinning on Pinterest like crazy and have an idea of everything I want. I still have to buy everything but I feel pretty good at where I'm at for their birthdays.
++ Finish gallery wall for living room - the gallery wall is finished (thanks Megan!) & i LOVE it! Now I want to put a gallery wall on every wall in my house!
++ Find Halloween costumes for Sophia and Jax - still haven't found or bought their costumes. i can't decide what i want them to be. i kind of want them to do something matching but i may just let sophia pick what she wants to be and find something for Jax!
++ Take Jax's 10 AND 11 month pictures (I'm behind) - ok. what is wrong with me? I still haven't done this! This NEEDS to be done this week.
++ Read at least one book this month - I didn't even touch a book.
++ Plan fun things to do while Gary's family are in town - I had a lot planned to do while Gary's family was here and we were able to complete one but it rained the whole time so we just hung out at the house.
++ Sell Sophia and Jax's gently used clothes to buy more - I ended up taking their clothes to a consignment store and sold some clothes and was able to buy some new ones for them.
++ Complete another round of the 21 Day Fix - I started but then .... excuses. I need to complete at least two more rounds because I have a bridesmaids dress to fit in at the end of November.

So now for my October goals! I plan on adding some of the goals I didn't complete to this month and hopefully I achieve them!

// OCTOBER GOALS FOR THE BLOG

++ SCHEDULE MY POSTS OUT SO I DO HAVE 3-5 POSTS A WEEK
++ POST ABOUT MY FITNESS JOURNEY
++ PARTICIPATE IN ANOTHER GIVEAWAY
++ USE TWITTER AND FACEBOOK PAGES

// OCTOBER GOALS FOR ME + THE FAMILY

++ FINISH BUYING EVERYTHING NEEDED FOR BIRTHDAY PARTY
++ BUY HALLOWEEN COSTUMES
++ TAKE MORE PICTURES FOR FAMILY & FRIENDS

++ COMPLETE ONE ROUND OF THE 21 DAY FIX
++ FIND A GROUP OF WOMEN TO COMPLETE A ROUND OF THE FIX WITH ME

A DAY AT BUTCHER FARM!

So I went MIA again. Sorry guys! Gary's family came to visit us from Virginia Beach so I was spending time with them! They just left and we are wishing they were still here but we all had such great time!

My plans were to do a lot of fun stuff while they were here but it literally rained the entire time they were here except for one day. We spent that day at Butcher Farm! We love coming here and have been since Sophia was a baby! They put such hard work into the props and it always looks beautiful! It was also Jax's first trip to the pumpkin patch & he loved it! We'll probably be heading back again this Fall but here are some pictures from our day there!
