Random and Some Links

So it's 6 am and I've been up forever just messing around on the computer. My mom kept Sophia tonight {last night} and as soon as I came home from work Gary and I passed out. So I pretty much went to sleep at like 7pm so that explains why I'm wide awake now. I've had no rest this week while I've been sick so I def. needed it.

So this post is going to be really random.

While I was messing around on here I did see that I {well Sophia} got 3rd place in the Green Photo Challenge at The Paper Mama. I have been entering pictures in her weekly link ups each week but I've never actually got Top 5 so I was pretty excited when I saw that just a little bit ago.

I also created a Facebook page for Letters to Sophia. I always just used my personal page but I wanted to actually have a separate one for my blog. So go check it out and like us. There's only one like so far, and that's me lol I plan on sharing it on FB and Twitter later today.

Yesterday a friend of mine dropped off some Scentsy stuff so I can host a party for the month of April so if anyone is interested in ordering any scentsy stuff let me know and I can get you some :)

I have nothing really planned for this weekend so hopefully I can just relax and start to feel 100% better. I hate missing work so I think I never got any better because I worked all week, full time.

Little Bits of Happiness v.5

Last Thursday I started feeling a little sick. I took over the counter medicine but I just got sicker. By the beginning of this week I felt like I was dying but I still went to work. So instead of staying at home resting I pushed myself to work 8 hrs each day and came home feeling miserable. To make things worse, Sophia was sick too. So it's been a LONG week. We would come home and just lay on the couch coughing and sneezing. We were a mess. 

Sophia got on some antibiotics and I continued taking my medicine and we started to finally feel better today. We decided to spend our evening outside enjoying some warm weather. Seeing Sophia back to her normal self brought me happiness this week

Wanna Swap?

I've decided that it's something I'm going to do each month. I enjoy being able to share other blogs on my small, but growing blog.

Our Weekend v.3

It's so crazy how fast the weekends go. This weekend went by very fast even though I didn't do anything. I literally only left the house maybe twice the whole weekend so this post is probably going to be boring.

Thursday evening I started feeling sick and it just got worst by Friday. I ended up going to work anyway and started feeling better by the end of the day. 

After work I picked Soph up from daycare and took her to her grandparents house. They keep her every Friday. Gary ended up meeting his friends for wings and beer while I met up with my friend Stephanie to see The Hunger Games. I started reading the book but I just couldn't get into it, mainly because I never have time to read and when I do I'd rather use that time to sleep. 

But the movie was AMAZING! I loved it and I have been dying to see it again. I like it SO much better than the Twilight movies. I'm going to actually find time and make myself finish the book. I recommend anyone to see it!

I laughed so much when I found that and read it. Steph and I ended up meeting Gary and his friends after the movie and we headed to some small bar in town. Steph and I just talked about the movie and we kept saying how we felt like we were in the games. We are so weird sometimes. 

The rest of our weekend was spent on our couch in comfy clothes. We cleaned a little and slept a lot. I didn't even take any pictures with my camera or iphone, that's how sick/lazy I was. So I apologize on this boring post but I will leave you with this video of Sophia dancing on her pony in her diaper. She's such a goofball with some crazy dance moves. Perfect Portrait

I just had to get on here real quick to share this beautiful portrait that Gary's mom painted. It is perfect! She is so talented and has done numerous paintings for me and our family. I love all of them. I hope Sophia has artistic genes just like her grandma. Here is Sophia with her cousins.

Little Bits of Happiness v.4

A lot of things brought me happiness this week but yesterday brought me the most happiness {if that even makes sense}. I had made plans with one of my friends all week to meet up and take some pictures of her cute lil boy. Well we finally picked yesterday to get together. We headed out in the middle of no where to her family's property where they keep their horses. OH MY GOODNESS! It was simply beautiful. It was so relaxing, and just amazing. I love everything country and this was perfect. 

So I followed around her lil cowboy and took tons of pictures {308 to be exact}. I was covered in mud by the end of the evening but all the pictures I took brought me so much happiness that I didn't even care. I apologize for all of the pictures, but I couldn't just pick a few.

He is just the cutest little cowboy ever. And I'm pretty sure he'd be perfect for Sophia, what do you think? I plan on adding some more of the pictures from yesterday on here so check back again if you want to see some more country babies being cute ❤

Lil Lady Luck

Like I mentioned in an earlier post, I took Sophia outside and got pictures taken for St. Patrick's Day.

The weather was perfect and she had the cutest outfit, Sophia just wasn't in the mood for pictures.

But we were able to capture a few good ones. I wanted to share them on here with everyone.

Our Weekend v.2

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Ours was very relaxing we only left the house once, which was very nice.

Here is what we did this weekend:

// Friday March 16th

Like most Friday's we came home from work and just hung out. We've decided to make those days are lazy days where we do absolutely nothing.

// Saturday March 17th *St. Patrick's Day*

We woke up to a beautiful morning on Saturday. The weather has been so perfect for about a week now. It's actually kind of crazy how pretty it's been. But I can't complain. I did a lot of cleaning first thing Saturday morning while Gary and Soph played.

Later that afternoon my mom came over and we put Sophia in her cute lil St. Patrick's Day tutu and headed outside to take some pictures for the holiday. Here's Sophia with her grandma.

Sophia wasn't in a picture mood but we got some cute ones that I think turned out really good.

I'll be posting all of the St. Patrick's Day pictures in a different post tonight. But here's one of my favorites.

Gary also found a four leaf clover while we were outside which I thought was perfect for the holiday. He let Sophia hold it and she did not one to let it go. 

After all of our picture taking we went to eat some Mexican at El Mariachi with my parents. I swear we go there at least once a week. After dinner we headed home and watched movies. While everyone was out drinking for St. Patrick's Day, I sat at home with this sweet lil girl and her cute pajama's. Gary ended the night watching The Others on Netflix. 

// Sunday March 18th

Sunday morning we woke up early and ate some pop tarts & watched cartoons.

Sophia fought her nap all morning and was a little bad for me. At around two she finally fell asleep and this momma went to sleep too. We woke up around 5 and decided to enjoy the rest of the afternoon outside. We just sat on a blanket in the yard. Soph played and I read a little. Daddy decided to come out and we took a walk down to the river. We stayed outside until the sun went down and the weather was cool.

We had another great weekend! I just wish they didn't go by too fast.
Tomorrow Sophia will be 17 months! I'm so far behind on her monthly posts.
I have all the pictures I just haven't posted them on here. I will this time.
So check back tomorrow and see what Sophia has been up to at 17 months.

Spring.. or Summer?

I started typing this post late Tuesday {March 13th} and didn't get it posted
 until after midnight so this is actually Tuesday's post. Ooops.

The weather has been perfect this week. It was so nice today that I skipped my work out after work so I could go straight home and play with Sophia outside. My work out friend Steph did come over to my house and we took a walk down to the river. Wasn't exactly our typical work out but we got to get some fresh air and take Sophia with us.

The weather is supposed to be real nice here for the next couple days. And when I say real nice, I mean 75 degree weather.. in March!! It's even supposed to get up to 78 by the end of this week! It's like it's summer. So I may.. or may not.. skip all my work outs this week because of the nice weather. It sounds like a good excuse to me. 

And I'm pretty sure Sophia loved it to. There were a lot of people out walking and she just said Hi to everyone. The ONLY thing that made me unhappy this evening was all the mosquito bites I got. I didn't think they'd be out already. Oh, and another thing .. a frog jumped onto our front porch and I was too afraid to move. I screamed so loud. My poor neighbors.

After our walk we just sat out on the side walk and I let her just explore and crawl around. The grass was damp from rain last week but once it dries up she'll get to explore that next.

I love watching her react to new {to her things}. I'm so excited to watch her grow and of course all the warmer weather ahead. I'm really hoping there's no more cold weather. This weather is just perfect. I feel happier when the it's warmer out. And warmer weather means more time outside which means more pictures!
