Lil Diva

This lil girl and sunglasses. Soph just loves putting on sunglasses and looking like {and acting} like a diva. Not only sunglasses but any other type of glasses that she can find.

I'm going to be sure to buy her as many sunglasses as I can find this summer so she can continue being a lil diva.

A couple nights ago I was looking through all of my pictures saves on my computer and saw that I didn't really have too many of me and Sophia. So today after work I made Gary snap a few of me and Soph. It is so hard anymore to get a picture with the diva. But I got a few that I like.

Busy Sunday

Everyone always talks about relaxing on Sundays and just taking it easy. But for me I feel like my Sundays are just the opposite. Actually both Saturday and Sunday are very busy for me.

These are the days that I can actually get things done. Well try to, while being a momma to my baby girl. So I barely have any time to relax. :(

I'm hoping this summer things will slow down and I can spend my summer weekends relaxing and playing with my girl.

Today I woke up early and picked up Soph at her grandparents then went to Lowes. I bought a new refrigerator and some shelves and a dresser for Sophs room. I then went to Baby's R Us and bought the cutest clothes for Sophrhat were on sale. They are going to be perfect for this spring and summer!

I came home and just organized and put together the shelves. Soph has way too much clothes. It's going to take another whole evening to organize just.

There's a lot more we need to do to her room but it'll get there.. soon. We watched some tv and soph passed out pretty early.

Tomorrow she will be 16 months old!! Where does time go? I'll be doing her monthly pics and update {along with the 15 month one. I took the pics just never updates, oops} Goodnight!

my baby nerd

Sophia found a pair of my glasses that I wear just as an accessory. She thought she was so funny wearing it. She kept putting them on and looking around at everyone and smiling, waiting for us to laugh. She's my little baby nerd.

Even though she looks SO cute in them I hope that her eye sight is perfect as she gets older. I have had to wear glasses/contacts since the 3rd grade. My eye sight is horrible! I'm pretty much blind without them. Gary has no problems with his eye sight so hopefully she takes after him. 

We spent our Saturday cleaning ALL day. When Gary and I moved into our home we kind of made our spare bedroom just the place we put random and unwanted things that didn't want to throw away yet. And we also used Sophia's room just a place to keep all of her clothes since her crib is in our bedroom. Well, yesterday we decided to actually finish the rooms and make them look nice. We cleared out the whole spare bedroom and threw away a ton of stuff that we prob. would never use again. We are going to put a futon, computer desk and a dresser and tv in there. It's got a closet in there so Gary has decided to keep his clothes in there so I can have the closet in our bedroom all to myself!! And then we plan on making Sophia's room all pretty and eventually put her crib in there. I'm too paranoid to have her sleep in a different room but we'll see how that goes.

Sophia decided to get into cabinets and find the powdered sugar while we were cleaning. I turned around as soon as she got it out but she still managed to pour a little on the floor. I just let her play in it for a little and took some pictures. 

We finished all the cleaning we could do for the day and decided to get out of the house. My mom asked to keep Soph for the night so we got her all ready and took her to her grandparents house. Gary and I went to a few stores to find some stuff for the rooms but decided we were too hungry and ended up just going to Applebee's. We came home and stayed up late watching Friday Night Lights. I kind of regret that now because my moms already calling to come get Soph. Hope everyone had a good Saturday!! 

Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's Day this year. Sophia and Gary were both my Valentines. All day at work all the women I work with kept getting flowers sent to them from their men. I knew Gary wouldn't send any, but I was still waiting. At the end of the day me and another co worker just assumed the truck our flowers were on must have crashed and that's why we didn't get our flowers. ha.


I met Gary at the daycare to pick up Soph and I went on and on about how everyone got flowers all day. He kind of just looked at me and asked if I was ready to go. I said yes and I went to get into my car and he walks over with a big Victoria Secret bag. He pretty much went crazy and bought all kinds of new stuff! I'd much rather have Victoria Secrets instead of flowers .. especiall VS yoga pants!!


We headed home to get ready, I called to make reservations and we headed back into town. We went to Fusions for dinner and I'm glad I made reservations. It was PACKED! We waited for about 20 minutes and finally got seated.


Gary and I both got filet mignon, shrimp and chicken. SO good! Soph shared with us and we ended up taking a lot of it home. Sophia def. enjoyed watching the whole hibachi show and "talking" with everyone at our table.

Sophia got to have a little Valentine's Photo Shoot with me this morning! I got some really cute pictures but this one is my favorite & I'm entering it in The Paper Mama's Heart Photo Challenge.

I'm pretty sure she is the cutest Valentine ever! She was so sweet while we were taking the pictures. Here's a few more from today. I'll add the rest on Valentine's Day.  ❤  ❤ 

Lately

Sophia and Gary are both asleep and I got a nap earlier so I have some energy to get on here and blog, while watching Glee. I am soo glad we decided to get Netflix. I have been catching up on all these shows I didn't have time to watch before. Glee is my favorite! I plan on watching Friday Night Lights Next.

I know it's been a couple days since I've been on here but we've been up to the usual the past couple days. Just hanging out after work. One of the days this past week I realized that I've been slacking on taking pictures of Sophia that I decided to get out my camera and just snap away. I took a bunch that I'll be adding on here.

Last night I went to see The Vow with Stephanie. It was a great movie, def. had me crying. I ended up bawling my eyes out on my way home too. I have no idea why. I think that movie just really got to me. I do recommend it though!

It also snowed like crazy last night. Soph stayed with her grandparents  last night. I woke up early to head out to pick Soph and there as maybe 3 inches on the ground!! It was pretty, but freezing! I had Gary go with me because I hate driving in the snow. We picked Soph up and decided to get breakfast at Bob Evans. Mmmm. Then we just hung out here all evening watching Glee and cuddling. 

I love the weekends, they just go by so fast. Hopefully we don't get anymore snow! Hope everyone's having a great weekend!! Time for me to get back to reading The Hunger Games!

New Car!

On January 4th Gary & I became owners of a new (to us) 2011 Chevy Cruze!! It was used but barely had any miles on it and was in perfect condition. It's a 2011 & we love it!! We really needed a new car because we were driving my 2 door Chevy Cobalt as our family car. A 2 door is the not the greatest when you have a baby. The Cruze is a lot like the Cobalt but more up to date and a little more room. It's 4 door so its perfect for us.


Gary really liked the Impala and we took it for a drive but after talking to my mom she said the Impala looked like an old woman's car. We really wanted an SUV but the payments weren't really what we wanted. The Cruze is affordable for us right now. I'll be driving it most of the time since I take Sophia to daycare and pick her up. Gary will use my Cobalt for now and hopefully we'll be able to get a new one for him. But I just wanted to get on here real quick while I had time to blog to post about our new car!! :) These pictures aren't the greatest because I took them from my phone. I'll post some better ones later.
